International Police Technologies Makes Donation to Local Animal Shelter
Tulsa, Oklahoma International Police Technologies, Inc. ® (IPT) at www.policetechnologies.com, an Oklahoma based manufacturer of in-car video systems, recently hosted a fundraising effort to collect old and unused cell phones from their employees. All of the collected cell phones were then donated to a charity called Phones 4 Charity. The Phones 4 Charity organization will then send the customer, IPT, a check made out to their charity of choice. In this case IPT employees chose to donate any money received from Phones 4 Charity to the Tulsa SPCA.
"This is a great opportunity to take something that is no longer used and turn it into a valuable and possibly life saving asset for those less fortunate. The phones can be reprogrammed and given to other countries and / or to police stations to hand out to battered women. In addition, the end result is helping homeless animals; all of us at IPT have a soft spot in our hearts for animals. It's truly a win / win situation for everyone involved." says Dana Wilson, Marketing Department at IPT's Tulsa facility.
About Phones 4 Charity
Phones 4 Charity is a national program designed to remove discarded wireless phones from the country's environment while directly benefiting charitable organizations. Phones 4 Charity enables charities to capitalize on the untapped value of the estimated 150 million used discarded cell phones. These phones are just waiting to be reprogrammed, refurbished or recycled to help benefit your community. The donated cell phone will be refurbished and put to further use. Refurbished phones are sent to emerging countries and areas in the United States where there is an economic necessity for cell phones for both safety & communication. There are some parts of the world where technology is so precious that a cell phone can mean the difference between life and death. See "About Us" at Phones4Charity.com.
