International Police Technologies:
International Police Technologies is First Manufacturer of Digital Video Rrecording Systems to License Pre-Event Recording.

TULSA, OK — August 25, 2004

Tulsa-based International Police Technologies, Inc. (IPT) is the first manufacturer of in-car video recording systems to sign a licensing agreement to incorporate the capability of pre-event recording in its proprietary digital video recording system VisionHawk™.

IPT International Sales Manager, Steven Janus, made the announcement. "DriveCam Video Systems, based in San Diego, California holds Patent 6,389,340 on pre-event recording. We feel strongly about the value of integrating this function with our system to be able to make it available to all our customers."

Applications that best illustrates the tremendous advantage of pre-event recording for our law enforcement customers are vehicle collision and capturing an event when the system has yet to be activated. "We can now provide officers with a tool to reconstruct events leading up to an event rather than relying upon often unreliable and contradictory witness testimony," Janus explained. The result is secure, sequential video imagery and other data that is occurring during the time interval before and after a triggering event.

The IPT VisionHawk™ is a digital in-car system which is server-based that features true DVD broadcast quality video, exclusive video editing security and installs compactly in the vehicle, not the trunk. Secure data from the system can be uploaded by wireless transfer from car to station, a simple hard wire Ethernet transfer or transferred by removable hard drive depending on the preference of each agency.

Video files can easily be shared with court officials and prosecutors while maintaining the integrity of the original video from the moment it enters the camera lens. Authorized personnel can have immediate network access to the server from their desks or receive information by CD-ROM, DVD or VHS mediums. Videotape storage and retrieval hassles are eliminated.

IPT engineers designed the state of the art video evidence system as a total information management solution with scalability into future technologies.
